Listening to their heart, they set out.
When my own life took a turn, that of leaving the monastery and taking up residence at a place for the elderly, I listened to my heart.
I learned that when your path changes radically, and you have no idea where life is taking you, it is good just to allow God to take you by the hand, even if it is into the unknown. When this happens, you can then rest in the thought that what is taking place is not your doing but that of God.
In the end, doing this changes your whole life. You may find yourself overwhelmed with an unexpected gift of God. In my own case, I found that the end result took me by surprise. I am very happy. Every day, I say to myself: Who could ask for more?
